Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is nonexistent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. I’m here to talk about games. All games. Every itty 36-bitty one. From pixel shooting to castle building, I have a question: What do games do? I thought they let us simply do what we can’t — or won’t. But a feeling keeps circling that there’s much more. I don’t believe games are just games. I think they’re more. For me, they can be a mode of expression. You can consider me a gamer idealist. These are great days to game. But pretty much I see myself as a gaming dreamer. If you think that’s odd, laugh. I am a life long gamer and have also worked in the video game industry. I have written for various video game websites. I’m basically a “gun for hire”. I’m a nice guy but let’s face it, I have no master, I’m a MERC, and I answer to no one. Still, I’m a well mannered Brit, ex-SAS (in the videogame world). I moonlight for Ludos, but my services are available to the highest bidder. I’m locked and loaded. One hand on my controller, the other on the keyboard, with my son at my side.

Somewhat of an Xbox fanboy but if I can live with it, so can you. I’m a good Samaritan and feel incredible guilt if I need to make an evil choice in RPGs. But if you kill me in multiplayer I will automatically think you cheated and curse the day
you were born! But I will do it silently in my head. I believe in good behavior!
